SANTROPOL ROULANT PRÉSENTE
GALA SYMPHONIQUE
Le Santropol Roulant débute l'année 2012 en musique !
Une chance extraordinaire vous est offerte d'assister entre amis et en famille à un concert de musique classique d'un niveau exceptionnel, dans un cadre magique, au coeur de Montréal. Des musiciens de l'Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal accompagnés par deux amis musiciens empliront de Brahms et de Dvorak le Centre Canadien d'Architecture le vendredi 20 janvier 2012.

Digestifs: 21:00 – 23:00
Votre soirée commencera dans la maison Shaughnessy (le cœur du Centre d'Architecture) où vous sera offerte une sélection de vins et d'amuse-gueules. Vous serez ensuite invités à passer au théâtre Paul Desmarais, où vous bénéficierez d'une heure de concert privé. À la suite de la représentation, vous serez reçus de nouveau dans la maison Shaughnessy où vous aurez la chance de pouvoir échanger avec les musiciens et vos amis tout un savourant un assortiment de digestifs.
L'achat de billets vous permettra l'accès privé au Centre d'Architecture, à un buffet d'amuse-gueule accompagnés de vins, d'une performance de classe mondiale, et des desserts et digestifs à l'issu du concert.
À l'achat d'un billet de $100, nous vous remettrons un reçu d'impôt de $60 et vous bénéficierez de places situées dans les premières rangées face à la scène pour le concert.
L'ensemble des recettes reviendra au programme de popote roulante du Santropol Roulant. Le Santropol Roulant utilise la nourriture comme médium entre cultures et générations, afin de lutter contre l'isolement social, la malnutrition des personnes âgées et pour encourager chacun à avoir un rôle actif au sein de sa communauté.

Santropol Roulant is teaming up with four musicians from the Montreal Symphony Orchestra and two friends to offer a unique cultural experience filled with music, laughter and friends. Join us on Friday, January 20th 2012 at the Canadian Centre for Architecture.
HOW THE NIGHT WILL UNFOLD
Cocktails: 6:30pm – 7:30pm
Performance: 7:45pm – 8:45pm
Dvorak's Terzetto & Brahms' Sextet No. 1 in B-Flat Major, Op. 18.

Digestifs: 9:00pm - 11:00pm
We'll start our night in the CCA's Shaughnessy house with a selection of wines and appetizers. From there, you will be ushered into the Paul Desmarais theatre, for the main event: a private one-hour performance of Dvorak's Terzetto & Brahms' Sextet No. 1 in B-Flat Major, Op. 18. Following the performance, mingle with musicians and friends, enjoy an assortment of digestifs and explore the CCA at your leisure.
Ticket purchase includes private access to the CCA, cocktails and small bouchées before the performance, a world class performance by six world class musicians and dessert / digestifs after the performance.
Event proceeds support The Roulant's unique meals on wheels program. Our innovative approach to meals on wheels uses food as a vehicle to bridge cultures and generations, break social isolation, fight malnutrition among the elderly and engage people in playing an active role in their community.

Tickets purchased for $100 will be issued a $60 tax receipt and will have front row seats to the performance. Additional donations are more than welcome and will also receive a tax receipt.

Santropol Roulant
Santropol Roulant is a Meals-on-Wheels / Community Food Centre. We use food as a vehicle to break economic and social isolation. In 16 years we have grown from a small project of a café to preparing and delivering 80-100 freshly cooked meals a day, while serving as a model for inter-generational community building, youth engagement and volunteerism. Our recently renovated building also stands as an integrated Urban Agriculture learning and demonstration site.
We believe strongly that a social service such as ours can be a catalyst for social change. Our goal is to respond to the basic needs of a vulnerable population and to do so with dignity. It is also to inspire and equip young people to identify and address the issues they see around them with imagination and passion – to get involved, to participate and together to work towards creating a more caring community.
